Some brushes will stain, especially ones with white hairs. As long as the color is not transferring on to a white towel when wet, it will not affect future washes.

I took your suggestion about using a small paintbrush to create my ink color swabs on my Col-O-Ring. After the first ink the bristles are stained and won’t rinse out with water. Not a big deal as it’s a cheap little hobby brush but is that common and do you think it will affect subsequent in swabs? Thanks!
